ABOUT APAULINHA

Who is behind Apaulinha?

Apaulinha is led by Ambre Babzoe and Julien Labrousse — together the design duo Babzoe & Labrousse — with the financial backing of DELEUZE SASU, the French investment holding of Julien Labrousse.

Ambre Marazzi is an artistic director, designer and entrepreneur in lifestyle and hospitality. She has directed interior design and production for Quinta da Comporta in Comporta, Cheval Blanc Saint-Barthélemy, The Gili Beach Resort in Bali, Unframed by Marriott Autograph Collection in Miami, and Palácio Ludovice in Lisbon to name a few

Julien Labrousse is an architect and entrepreneur with more than twenty-five years of practice. His work includes two major Paris theatres (one a full reconstruction), six residential buildings in the Paris region of twenty to fifty apartments each, three hotels and luxury villa projects in Spain, with recognition from ArchDaily in 2025. His experience covers the full cycle of a project — design, structuring, construction and operation.

The development company — Elegant Horizon Lda, to be renamed Apaulinha Lda, based in Lisbon and directed by both founders — is majority-owned by DELEUZE SASU. The holding reported equity of €22.8 million in its certified 2024 accounts, with assets including the Trianon and Élysée Montmartre theatres in Paris, a Paris hotel, a stake in Palácio do Grilo in Lisbon, 186 hectares at Cabo Espichel licensed for a 91-room hotel, and the Fábrica Policronica industrial complex in Rio Maior. Construction is carried out by Fábrica Policronica Lda, the group's own building company.

For buyers, this matters in two ways: the people who designed Apaulinha are the people who finance and build it, and the project rests on an established balance sheet rather than on pre-sales.
