THE VILLAS

How good is internet connectivity?

Apaulinha is served by fibre-optic infrastructure across the entire estate, delivering high-speed internet to every villa.

The fibre network is not an afterthought: it runs alongside the estate's other services — water, wastewater and electricity — in networks laid along the internal roads, installed as part of the primary infrastructure works rather than added later. Electricity itself arrives through a dedicated MV/LV transformer substation on the property, connected to the existing medium-voltage line, giving the estate robust, independent servicing.

Why it matters: a home three kilometres from Grândola and roughly 110 km from Lisbon is only viable as a genuine part-time or full-time residence if remote work is effortless. Fibre to each villa means video calls, streaming and large file transfers behave exactly as they would in a city apartment — while the view out of the window does not. For owners considering longer stays outside the summer season, this is often the deciding piece of infrastructure.
